Insurance Verification for Detox, PHP and Sober Living
This page explains how Synergy Empowering Recovery reviews insurance questions. Acceptance depends on the plan, the service requested, eligibility and current availability, so nothing can be confirmed online. Call 323-488-4114 to discuss your plan, or start a confidential request through the Apply form and the team will follow up.
Educational information, not medical advice
The information on this page is general and educational. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation, and it cannot tell you which service is right for any individual. That is decided by individual assessment.
This website is not an emergency service. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department in a medical emergency. Call or text 988 for a mental health or substance use crisis.
Who this may help
This page may be useful if any of the following describes your situation. It does not decide whether a service is appropriate for you.
- You have a health plan and want to ask whether it can be used for the service you are asking about.
- You are a family member gathering plan information before someone calls.
- You are comparing options and want to understand what a plan conversation can and cannot confirm.
- You are a professional helping a client understand payment questions.
What to expect from the inquiry process
A first conversation is an information conversation. It is not an assessment in itself, and it does not guarantee admission, coverage or placement.
- 1You share the plan name, the policy holder and the service you are asking about, such as detox, PHP or sober living.
- 2The team explains what can be reviewed and what has to be confirmed individually.
- 3The team discusses the service you are asking about, eligibility and current availability.
- 4You are told plainly if Synergy cannot accept the plan or meet the need, and, with your consent, a referral elsewhere can be discussed.
Insurance and payment limitations
Insurance acceptance depends on your plan, the service you need, eligibility, and current availability. If Synergy cannot accept your plan or meet your needs, we may, with your consent, refer you to an appropriate provider. A referral is not a guarantee of admission, coverage, or payment.
Please do not send insurance documents, member identifiers, health information or other confidential information through ordinary email or public website messages.
Questions to ask
These are reasonable questions to bring to any provider, including Synergy.
- What information do you need from me before a plan conversation?
- What does the plan conversation cover, and what still has to be confirmed individually?
- What costs are not related to a plan at all?
- What happens if the plan cannot be used for the service I am asking about?
- How does a consent-based referral to another provider work?
If Synergy cannot meet the need
If Synergy cannot accept your plan or meet your needs, we may, with your consent, refer you to an appropriate provider. The team can say so plainly rather than leaving a request open. A referral is not a guarantee of admission, coverage, or payment.
You can also search for other providers yourself using the public treatment locator linked in the sources section of this page.
